#12 90's Much?Customer: Excuse me sir, I'm looking for one of those game things.
Me: A video game console?
Customer: *Shakes head* No what's goes with them?
Me: The games?
Customer: Yes.
*Shows them to the case and all*
Customer: I don't own any of these.
Me: What console do you own?
Customer: Well, I'm not sure since I got it from a pawn shop, it's a square thing with purple buttons for power switch and stuff.
It took me a minute to piece together what she was talking about, after all when was the last time a console used Purple in it's color scheme... only one that I could remember but when that hit me I was almost at a complete lose for words...
Me: Um... are you talking about a Super Nintendo?
Customer: Yes, I believe that was it...
Me: ... No one has sold games for that in over 10 years.
Customer: ... *blank look*
Now I understand not knowing much about Video Games, but asking for something released over a decade ago? How unaware of the time could you possible be.
#13 Only in Nebraska...Now to get one you have to understand, I greatly dislike football and most things related to it, on top of that I find people's here obessession with their damn Cornhuskers even more obixious. So basically two people were talking about some game recently, they definitly looked the part of obessive fanboy too, of course I was just dusting TVs minding my own business when they suddenly drug me into their conversions for some dumb reason starting asking me my opinion of course they didn't like it.
Customer: What do you mean you don't watch, what kind of Nebraskian are you (Is Nebraskian even a word?)
Me: I'm not originally from here so I suppose I don't get it (Of course me trying not to say I don't care about your damn huskers)
Customer: Then where did you come from? (Like it's any of their business)
Me: Colorado (I was hoping if I told them they'd go away.)
They then went into some rant, I don't really remember most of it because I was trying to ignore it about Colorado's college teams which for some reason have a rivialy with Nebraska's huskers, which I wasn't even aware of really. Finally, I got a word in.
Me: I don't really know much about that, most people I knew in Colorado didn't really pay a whole lot of attention to the college level games.
Customer: Well, then you should support your state better then.
Me: So the only way I can support my state is to care about football?
Customer: Of course, what else is there...
They finally went away but I was completely baffled. They actually prided themselves in being completely ignorance about the world. Football isn't all there is in the world and it's obixinous to deal with people who for some reason can only see in one direction.
I suppose this is more of a person gripe then a customer situation but I understand being unaware of something, but intendental ignorance is far beyond me.
