So, I'm not going to make a giant post about how I've been gone forever and a day. I'm here and you all have missed me, I think.....
Anyways, I'm the nerdiest female I know. Seriously. I've picked up the expensive hobby of building something known as a Garage Kit, which is something most of you probably don't know about me. Wikipedia it if you don't know what it is. Basically, they're resin and/or vinyl model kits, usually of anime, video game and movie characters. So since I'm an otaku >_>;; of course I love this shit. I've never been one to be afraid of getting my hands dirty. Or the rest of me for that matter. Yay for growing up with boys ^_^ So, I get to sand, dremel, primer, paint and glue together a model of *insert flavor-of-the-week anime character here*? Hell yeah!
I've been thinking about a conversion for Phoenix or Aya. A conversion is when one kit is modified or multiple kits' pieces are commandeered and put together to form a new model kit. Basically, you're changing it from one thing to another. It isn't easy for a beginner. Here are the links for the kits I've been thinking about converting...I'd like it if you guys would give me some input on what you think would be the best kit to convert for the character.

^ I'd have to sand down the boobs with this one, move her katana to the other hand, remove it's sheath. Probably mix some clear resin and hope I can cast it properly to get a clear katana blade that I can paint with a transparent purple for a Yamigarasu. I'll also have to remove the hat and add volume to her hips.

^ Only problem is, she's brand new. I can't find her for a decent price, but I think she'd work out really well for Pho.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7615
^ A little short, but I want more of an action or near-action pose rather than a casual one.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7469
^ I just don't know if I can justify hacking up a Shunya Yamashita kit for Pho.......but I can always buy another one. <3 The pose and weapon-style would be great for a conversion of her.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7433
^ Another Yamashinta-San kit. It would work, but she's a little more expensive. Not to mention, Pho wasn't really known for often carrying around a large sword except Red Sword or Flowen's. And I am NOT making a Flowen's.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7210
^ Yay, Yamashita <3 The price on this kit is a big factor. I'd have to reshape the breasts a bit bc they look kinda...off. But yet again, the weapon-style is right-on and would help in the conversion.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=5148
^ So...asides from her proportions being almost exactly like in-game Pho's.....her pose is very lackluster. It's a pose generally used for concept and production art for video games and anime >_> I'm not quite advanced enough to thwack her apart and change her pose around while still making it look natural.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=3479
^ Yet again, just about perfect proportions for Pho. But it's a bit casual, though I could still use it no problem. I'd just need to widen her hips and lengthen her torso.
AYA
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7726
^ She's brand new too. And this is one of the only sites I can find her on. Lame.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7708
^ The hair is a bit too long and because of her pose, I wouldn't be able to dress her in her armor, so I'd probably do this kit later because I want her first kit to be with the armor.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7683
^ Not a lot of pictures, so it's hard to say how much work I'd need to go through for the result I want, but it seems like a fairly decent kit to convert. I also won't know the price until e2046 gets their prices.
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=7193
^ Okay, I love Kanu from Ikkitousen. I think this is just an excuse to buy a Kanu kit to convert. >_> And also because Aya doesn't use a partisan...but I could make it work.....somehow. >_>;
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=6820
^ I'm not sure exactly how it would be done, and the model's a bit pricey, but it could work. I'd have to mount her differently and sculpt wings and hair. Ugh...
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=1394
^ A really good kit for converting. She's a great price, fairly plain and open to easy conversion....but her pose is plain. I'll probably end up using this one down the line because it's cheap and a very good starting base for conversion. Only complaint, she's wearing a jacket. Therefore, she was never cast any arms...the jacket sleeves ARE her arms. idk how I feel about sculpting two entire arms
www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=6808
^ So, she's a little more expensive...but this one I have a serious thing for. Her features are a little childish, being a little short and her face is a little pudgy, hence the childish features. But if I lengthen her legs and torso, sculpt some hair and wings, then adjust her face, this could be VERY nice. The pose is fantastic for Aya.
