I am getting married. So far, everything is ordered and here at the apartment except the plates, soup spoons and chopsticks. Here's pictures for you until then...
EDIT: Okay, I don't know what the deal is, but I uploaded a ton of photos to my photobucket days ago. I tried to link them here and only half of them say they've been deleted or moved...even though I never moved them, nor are they gone >_> So just head to my photobucket here: s3.photobucket.com/albums/y76/seraph_phoenix/Personal/Wedding%20Planning/
and use the albums on the left to see everything.
Instead of real flowers, I opted for origami sakura. I'm making all of them myself, but in a regular pink paper instead of flashy foil. I'm going to use fishing wire to tie them to the columns and rafters in the dinnerhall. Also onto some of the bamboo garland. Using asian-styled square plates. They are actually disposable plastic, pretty neat.
Instead of a traditional guestbook, I bought a roll of rice paper and a calligraphy brush. I'm going to put two rounded wooden slats on the ends so it can roll up like a scroll. It'll be intended for people to use like the traditional calligraphy brush & ink, only as a guestbook instead.
Also having Chicken Karrage as one of the main dishes, it's a type of fried chicken that uses ginger. Very, very tasty. Actually, if you've played the first Cooking Mama, the "Fried Chicken" recipe that has ginger in it IS Chicken Karrage. It's my favorite Japanese dish <3 Also planned on having sticky rice, then the more traditional sandwich trays, veggie trays, fruit trays, etc.
Here's a link to the part of my photobucket that has pictures of the place where it's going to be held.
